DURBAN - ANC Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula described the ANC's situation in KwaZulu-Natal as dire.
The party crashed to a 17% share of the vote in KZN at the May elections.
Mbalula says that this must be remedied.
Meanwhile, the decision on whether or not the ANC will disband the provincial executive committee in KwaZulu-Natal will be made next week.
Mbalula said this following a day's engagement with the KZN PEC on Monday.
The party is trying to figure out why and how they lost so much ground during the elections.
