New electric taxi to hit the road next year

JOHANNESBURG - The electric taxi has been launched in South Africa and is set to hit the road as early as next year.

The 15-seater electric minibus, dubbed eKamva, is supported by a network of taxi-rank charging stations to help the industry shift to electric mobility.
