JOHANNESBURG - The Deputy President Paul Mashatile will lead the commemoration of anti-apartheid activist and military commander, Chris Hani.
Today, marks 32 years since Hani’s death. It also comes one year after the release of his killer, Janusz Waluś, from prison.

On Monday the Hani family laid a wreath at his gravesite in South Park Cemetery in Germiston.
Today's official commemoration will take place at the Chris Hani Memorial Site in Sabalele Village, Cofimvaba, in the Eastern Cape.
Hani was gunned down outside his home in Dawn Park over the Easter weekend in 1993.
