KZN police kill 6 wanted suspects during shootout at South Beach

JOHANNESBURG  - Six suspects wanted for several murders and extortion cases, have been killed during a shootout with police in South Beach in Durban.

The suspects shot five people on Sunday night, executing four of them.

They were found by police hiding in a rented flat on South Beach.

The ensuing shootout left all the suspects critically injured, while the police suffered no casualties.

KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, says police are still searching for the person who rented the apartment to the suspects.
