SALDANHA BAY - Week six of the Joshlin Smith kidnapping and trafficking case continues with lawyers still arguing about the admissibility of statements given to the police by Jacquen Appollis and Stefano Van Rhyn.
According to the police giving testimony, both of them implicated Kelly Smith and another mysterious individual, only known as Makalima, in the disappearance of Joshlin.
All the police officers involved in the taking of the contested statements from Jacquen Appollis and Stefano Van Rhyn, deny that the accused were tortured, or say, they have no knowledge of this.

Colonel Adrian Pretorius was cross-examined about the statement he took from Appollis in March last year and his reference to a sangoma.
Sergeant Dawid Fortuin detailed to the court his interactions with Appollis and Van Rhyn before they were arrested.
He said Van Rhyn pointed fingers at Kelly Smith regarding the disappearance of her little girl.
