JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal's Cooperative Governance Department has issued a flood warning for several areas on New Year's Eve.
With festivities planned in various areas to usher in the new year, residents are advised to avoid crossing rivers and swollen streams where the water is above ankle depth.
Residents are also urged to avoid traveling on Sunday evening.
The department's Bongiwe Sithole- Moloi says all disaster management teams will remain on high alert to respond to emergencies.
