DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal ANC Chairperson Siboniso Duma is getting backlash from the Women's League.

The league are upset about his treatment of Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube.

In a viral video, Duma is seen taking over the lifting of the Webb Ellis trophy from Dube-Ncube during the Springbok victory tour in Durban.

ANC KZN provincial secretary, Bheki Mtolo, says opposition parties are trying to use the incident to campaign for next year's elections.

"When I saw that video myself, I got worried. Then I asked the chair.

"The chair explained that the video looks manipulated," Mtolo said.

"If you look at the correct video, they agreed with the premier Etzebeth looks very tall and when it was time to lift the trophy, the chair must assist the guy to lift it up because the premier won't match the height of the guy."
