JOHANNESBURG - The ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula says the party will be meeting with the DA on Saturday to iron out their differences in the government of national unity.
The GNU senior partners have been clashing over several issues, including the planned VAT hike.
This has threatened the future of their collaboration in government.
To date, Mbalula says he has since written to political parties for an audience and engagement on the budget impasse, and they responded positively to this.
He says the discussions are going very well and intend to conclude these discussions next week.
"We have had talks with political parties before the passing of the budget framework and agreed to pass the budget framework but some did not come to the party, in particular the DA, EFF, MK Party, the Freedom Front Plus..." he said.
Mbalula says they are moving towards a division of revenue and now must find each other in relation to the budget.
