WATCH | Traces of rat poison found in alleged Soweto poisoning incident

JOHANNESBURG - Authorities probing an alleged poisoning incident in Soweto say they've found traces of Organophosphate (OP), a chemical also found in rat poison, in samples from one of two children who died after consuming biscuits allegedly bought from a local spaza shop.

Authorities say more samples have been taken to the lab as investigations continue.

The families of the two children are still trying to piece together how their children died.

In separate incident, two children died after consuming food at a West Rand taxi rank.

The Department of Health says the children in hospital are stable and under observation.

eNCA's Manqoba Mchunu has the details.
