WATCH | Cape Town leads the way in waste disposal

CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has rolled out its first Waste Strategy.

It sets out how metros should manage waste more effectively and sustainably.

This initiative, currently open for public comment, aims to stamp out illegal dumping, reduce waste and boost recycling.

Researchers want to see municipalities customise their approach at the community level to reduce waste.
