JOHANNESBURG - Township residents have had mixed reactions to President Cyril Ramaphosa's food safety address.
The president detailed the government’s interventions to address incidents of food poisoning linked to the sale of pesticides in townships and informal settlements.
Some 890 poisoning cases have been recorded so far, and at least 22 children have died.
Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal have been most affected, while Mpumalanga, Limpopo and the Free State have recorded dozens of incidents.
