JOHANNESBURG - The South African Police Service (SAPS) has promised to follow through on the decisions made at the recent three-day National Policing Summit.
One of the key steps they’re taking is to set up a special operations room to track how well the plans are being carried out.
This operations room will run for the next five years. It will include a scoreboard to monitor progress on the summit resolutions, helping SAPS stay on track and make improvements where needed.
“We believe that this significant move will hold the management of the SAPS accountable to the nation, as we commit to turnaround the policing direction of this country.” said National Police Commissioner Fanie Masemola.
