Motsepe gets second term as CAF president

JOHANNESBURG - South African magnate Patrice Motsepe has been re-elected as President of the Confederation of African Football for a second term.

The decision was confirmed at the 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo, Egypt.

Motsepe, who was running unopposed, had a successful first term that saw him stabilise the finances of the custodians of African football.

CAF also set records with AFCON 2023 in Cote d’Ivoire, attracting 1.4 billion viewers worldwide.

Motsepe says he intends to increase the prize money for continental tournaments.
