JOHANNESBURG - One department but two different messages.
That's currently the case at the Department of Social Development.
Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu has denied claims that the state's gender-based violence call centre has collapsed.
She says when the new contractors, Brilliantel, took over from Vodacom, they experienced some challenges.
News reports have found that Brilliantel has reduced the number of employees at the centre but Zulu insists that the centre is fully functional. She spoke to reporter Moloko Moloto earlier.
However, Deputy Minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu disagrees with Zulu's account of events.
Bogopane- Zulu says she was never informed about the way that tender was concluded or the approval of Vodacom.
