Zimbabwe receives $2.8m in food aid from Japan

CHIKOMBA, Zimbabwe - Zimbabwe may be experiencing good rains now, but hunger continues to affect many rural areas due to last year's drought.

Crop harvests are still months away, which only makes matters worse.

To avoid widespread starvation, the Japanese government, in collaboration with the World Food Programme, will supplement the diets of over 57,000 hungry villagers countrywide over the next three months.
