SALDANHA BAY - The trial-within-a-trial in the Joshlin Smith kidnapping case continues.
Accused number 1, Jacquen Appollis, is being cross-examined to determine the admissibility of his confession.
Appollis and Stefano van Rhyn claim they were assaulted and coerced into confessing about Joshlin's disappearance.
They allege that they were pressured into implicating Joshlin’s mother, Kelly Smith, and a woman known as Makalima.
Joshlin disappeared from outside her home in Saldanha Bay in February last year.
