WATCH | Justice For Meyiwa | Investigator denies stealing statement

PRETORIA - The lead investigating officer in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial says claims allegedly made by Meyiwa's friend, Tumelo Madlala, to Meyiwa's family that Senzo was killed by mistake could not be substantiated by the police investigation.

Meyiwa's brother-in-law, Mlungisi Hlophe, says he received a call from Madlala shortly after the shooting, suggesting that Longwe Twala was responsible. 

However, investigator Bongani Gininda says their investigation ruled out Twala as the possible shooter. And that he shot himself on the foot during a commotion.
