WATCH: Fists and chairs fly as EFF disrupt Ekurhuleni council

JOHANNESBURG - Chaos erupted at the Ekurhuleni council meeting on Thursday evening, ahead of a no-confidence vote against Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana.

Chairs and bottles were seen flying in the air and fists were also thrown.

Eventually, the police entered the council chamber and removed EFF members involved in the brawl.

The business of the evening then adjourned as legal advice was sought on how to move forward.
