SALDANHA BAY - Defense lawyers are cross-examining Laurentia Lombard, the state’s key witness in the Joshlin Smith kidnapping trial.
During her testimony, Lombaard said she'd witnessed Joshlin’s mother Kelly Smith sell her daughter to a sangoma for R20,000.
She's told the Western Cape High Court, sitting in Saldanha Bay, that the child was sold for her eyes and skin.
Lombard was initially arrested along with Joshlin's mother Kelly Smith and two others. But she has since turned state witness.
