Update: Two killed as fire engulfs Joburg CBD building

JOHANNESBURG - A building is on fire on the corner of Commissioner and Nugget streets in the Johannesburg CBD.

Two people were found dead as search-and-rescue operations continue.

Two people have reportedly jumped from the second floor, while three were rescued from balconies.

Emergency services have taken four people for medical treatment.

EMS confirmed that residents were occupying the building illegally.
