JOHANNESBURG - The Turkish embassy in South Africa is flying aid to Istanbul on a regular basis.
As Turkiye and Syria pick up the pieces after the deadly earthquakes, the embassy is collecting items to help survivors.

The recent 7.8-magnitude quake killed 43,500 people.
"Of course, there will be a big cargo plane next week on it, but we're collecting in-kind items donated by South African companies, NGOs and people, from Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town," said ambassador Aysegul Kandas.
