Shembe pilgrimage | Churchgoers summit Holy Mountain

DURBAN - The third and final day of the Shembe pilgrimage saw the churchgoers summit the Holy Mountain.

The 60km holy walk -- now in its 112th year -- drew over 40,000 members of the Nazareth Baptist Church to celebrate its values and teachings.

The determined Nazareth Baptist churchgoers celebrated their summit that ushers in the holy start to the new year.

Followers are eager to start the new year and continue their month-long fast throughout January.
