The IFP and the DA signed a service delivery pact in Durban on Tuesday.
The parties say they hope the new agreement will bring stability and improve service delivery in some hung municipalities in Kwazula-Natal.
The IFP's Thami Ntuli said, "this agreement which has been six months in the making and follows from our successful collaboration in by-elections to win wards from the ANC will ensure that where each party holds seats in a hung municipality, we will work together to improve service delivery and improve the lives of the residents.
