SA's Porous Borders | Weak controls allow criminal syndicates to flourish

MBOMBELA - Mpumalanga has requested national intervention to deal with rising levels of crime in the province.

It blames this partly on porous borders. They have become a hotbed for drug trafficking, with illegal substances flowing into the country.

Authorities are struggling to keep up as drug syndicates exploit weak controls.
