ELDORADO PARK - After years of fighting drugs and gang-related violence in Eldorado Park, residents say police have failed to stop the crimes.
They even staged a month-long sit-in outside their police station, but they say little has changed.
The residents have now decided to wage their own war with a community hub to address substance abuse and violence in the area.
Other concerns are the increasing cases of gender-based violence.
In the meantime, the city has deployed 78 rapid response team officers to the area to help fight crime and violence.
