JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance was denied access to Kusile power station.
The party is demanding answers from management at the station.
This as the country is subjected to severe stages of rolling blackouts.
A few weeks ago, Kusile reported serious damage to one of its chimneys and cannot operate at full capacity.
DA leader John Steenhuisen said security officers prevented them from going near the station.
"Clearly there is something to hide here at Kusile. They clearly don't want the opposition here," said Steenhuisen.
"Government is literally keeping the people of South Africa in the dark."
