JOHANNESBURG - After those well-publicised visits to all Eskom power stations, Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has returned to Kusile Power Station.
Three units at the power station are out of commission, and the minister says that work on the three units remains on track.
"The last time I was here, management indicated that they will be bringing those three units back," he said.
"We did have an intense discussion with management and must say I want to compliment the work that they've done.
He believes getting the units back in service will be a big boost in the fight against load-shedding.
"As you can imagine, if we were to get these three units back, I think we would have made significant advances in the resolution of load-shedding," Ramokgopa said.
"So we are on track, the civil works is done. So you can see that we're doing the temporary stacks and of course, we do remain on track."
