DURBAN - eThekwini Metro has assured prepaid electricity customers that fines will be imposed accordingly for those with tampered, prepaid meters.
But the city says there’s no R12,000 that’s been imposed by the metro.
Customers have been scrambling to beat Eskom’s Sunday deadline to recode their prepaid meters.
And as that deadline fast approaches, long queues formed in Durban with customers seeking clarity on their compliance.
