This follows an urgent court interdict filed by the housing lobby group Ndifuna Ukwazi.
They argue that recent evictions were carried out unlawfully and without proper court documentation.
The court has now ordered PRASA to return the confiscated property, and provide temporary shelter for those affected.
Attorney at Ndifuna Ukwazi Law Centre Jonty Cogger discussed the ruling with eNCA.
