Makhubele on sacking: Cope's move was unexpected

JOHANNESBURG - Colleen Makhubele says she only heard about her expulsion on television.

She says at first she believed it was a joke or mistake.

Her party, COPE, booted her after she enjoined the party with the SA Rainbow Alliance.

She has since become the president of that coalition.

"We were all shocked, shocked because it was unexpected and the reasons for the sacking are totally disingenuous."
