DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal disaster management teams remain on high alert following heavy rains in the province.
Several injuries have been reported, but no deaths have been recorded.
Government says it's responding to damage to infrastructure and homes.
Dozens of families whose homes were damaged have been evacuated.
Several roads have been closed as a precautionary measure.
Residents have been urged to exercise caution and if possible, to postpone all non-essential travel.
The province is still reeling from last April’s devastating floods which claimed over 400 lives.
