Joburg council elects new speaker

JOHANNESBURG - The African Independent Congress’ Margaret Arnolds has been elected new Joburg council speaker.

She succeed Colleen Makhubele during an extraordinary council meeting.

However, the DA is not happy and is calling for the entire council to be dissolved.

Party members did not attend the sitting.
