PIETERMARITZBURG - The family of anti-apartheid activist Dr Hoosen Haffejee say they have finally found closure.
The Pietermaritzburg High Court ruled that his death in detention was not suicide but rather murder as a result of torture by the apartheid security police.
He died 46 years ago aged 26.
Haffejee's family says they'll remember him as an activist who believed in equality.
His relatives say they are still seeking justice and want those responsible for his murder behind bars.
The familyâs lawyer, who's been working on the case since 2016, says the family are discussing the next steps.
