JOHNNESBURG - Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, is set to provide an update on the government's ongoing efforts to eliminate pit toilets from schools.
The minister is in Limpopo to unveil new, safer, toilets.
The Basic Education Department's deadline to eradicate unsafe toilets passed earlier this week.
Gwarube recently told Parliament that the Sanitation Appropriate for Education initiative had removed over 93-percent of identified pit toilets from public schools across the country.
