JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has announced stage four power cuts until 5am Tuesday morning.
The utility says this is due to rising demand and a slight reduction in generation capacity.

The announcement follows Electricity Minister Kgosientso Ramokgopa's assurance that blackouts could soon be a thing of the past.
Power cuts have dropped drastically in recent weeks from 12 hours a day to around two hours a day.
Given the drop in temperatures across the country, Eskom is asking the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce demand.
