Disaster Management teams on high alert as KZN braces for heavy rains

KZN - KwaZulu-Natal disaster management teams are on high alert. 

This as the South African Weather Service issue a yellow level 4 warning for the province. 

Disruptive rainfall is expected across the province.

The rains could lead to flooding and cause damage to property and infrastructure.

Affected areas are: 

Abaqulusi, Alfred Duma Indaka, Alfred Duma - Ladysmith, Dannhauser, Dr N. Dlamini-Zuma -Underberg, eDumbe, eMadlangeni, Endumeni, Ethekwini, Greater Kokstad, Impendle, Ingwe, Inkosi Langalibalele Escourt, Inkosi Langalibalele Sobabili, KwaDukuza, Mandeni, Maphumulo, Mkhambathini, Mpofana Giants Castle, Mpofana Mooi River, Msinga, Mthonjaneni, Ndwedwe, Newcastle, Nkandla, Nquthu, Okhahlamba, Ray Nkonyeni, Richmond.

Residents are advised, if possible to stay indoors and off the road. Avoid crossing rivers and swollen streams.
