The country’s main opposition is demanding a complete scrapping of the Act’s provisions that give the Minister of Employment and Labour the power to set racial quotas.
It says government determining racial quotas for private companies will result in the extension of cadre deployment into the private sector.
President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the amendment Bill earlier this year, saying it seeks to advance transformation of the country's workforce.
