ANC adopts adapt or die attitude

JOHANNESBURG - The ANC must adapt or die.

That was the outcome of the party's National Executive meeting.

The message will now be conveyed to members at the 3-day Lekgotla which begins today.

It brings together the NEC with provincial representatives and ANC ministers, premiers and mayors.

They will continue to reflect on the party's worst performance since democracy.

The NEC has already laid the blame on the water, electricity and service delivery crises.

It traces these back to the Jacob Zuma Presidency.

The ANC also blames tribalism and the rise of the MK Party for its declining support.

It says the Lekgotla will have to plot a way to revive the party before the next election.
