CAPE TOWN - Security was tight at the Western Cape High Court as some of the country's top alleged underworld figures appeared in the dock in separate trials.
Nafiz Modack and his 14 co -accused are already on trial facing an array of charges including the murder of Anti-Gang detective, Charl Kinnear, attempted murder and extortion.
Modack's rivals, Mark Lifman and Jerome Booysen appeared in a separate courtroom with a dozen others on multiple gang-related charges.
The case continues.
