HARARE - All jailed Zimbabwe opposition activists have now been freed. 30 were acquitted earlier this month.
Now, the remaining 35 have been given suspended sentences and released. They were arrested on illegal gathering charges and have been in jail for the past 5 months.

The release is fuelling speculation the arrests were to quash opposition protests ahead of SADC gatherings in the country.
