About R10bn proposed to revamp Joburg's hostel dwellings

JOHANNESBURG - An eye popping R10 billion. That's what it will cost to renovate all the hostels in Johannesburg.

This figure has been proposed by the city's Human Settlement Department, to make these dilapidated buildings habitable again.

But this is just one of the many problems the Joburg Council has to deal with.
