Ekurhuleni Metro employee among 5 arrested for diesel theft

JOHANNESBURG - Five suspects, one of whom is an Ekurhuleni Metro employee, are in custody on theft charges.

They're alleged to have stolen diesel from the municipality, and sold it to a private bus company.

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Kelebogile Thepa says the arrests come after weeks of surveillance.
