CAPE TOWN - Government debt is too high and is rising faster than economic growth.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana says the debt will balloon to over R6-trillion in the next financial year.

He says hundreds of billions are being spent just to service the debt.
But, the Minister says steps are being taken to address this.
