GEORGE - It’s been labelled the worst construction disaster in South Africa’s history.
On the afternoon of Monday 6 May this year, an under-construction apartment complex in the Garden Route town of George collapsed, leaving 34 workers dead.
Over the next eleven days, thousands of rescue, support and volunteer workers toiled relentlessly to try and save as many lives as possible.
A total of 28 people survived the incident, some sustaining serious injuries.
eNCA's Kevin Brandt revisited the scene and spoke to those impacted by the building implosion.
