JOHANNESBURG - Despite the Vaal Dam being filled to capacity, many Gauteng communities still battle dry taps daily.

Extended maintenance on the Lesotho Highlands Water Project has only worsened the crisis, raising concerns over long-term water stability.

Officials insist that reserves in the Vaal Dam are sufficient, but maintain municipal officials need to play their part.
