JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng's budget for the next three years will top R500-billion.

The country's economic hub faces a growing population, poor service delivery and rampant crime.

Health and Education are receiving the biggest chunk of the budget followed by infrastructure.

Most parties are in full support of this financial plan.

But the DA says the budget does not go far enough in addressing these problems, and will not support it.

Maile says despite uncertainty around the adoption of the National Budget, the province will not be affected. He's convinced 45 percent of it will pass.
