DRC conflict | Family of fallen soldier calls for troop withdrawal

MAHIKENG - The family of a soldier from Mahikeng is supporting calls for the SADC mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to be called off.

Itumeleng Moreo is one of the 14 South African solders killed in the DRC last month.

He died on his second deployment to the DRC as part of the SADC peacekeeping mission.

The North West Premier and his executive committee visited his family on Tuesday.

Moreo is survived by his wife and two children. 

He will be laid to rest in Mahikeng on Saturday.
