Crime in SA | Hawks head declares war on police killings

PRETORIA - The head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Godfrey Lebeya, says an attack on police officers is an attack on the state.

Speaking during the Hawks' third quarter progress update for the 2024/25 fiscal year, he focused on the increase in police attacks across the country.

According to Lebeya, the DPCI's mandate would focus on those who attack the police, among other high-priority crimes.
