JOHANNESBURG - The comedy drama Uproar is making its South African premiere, thanks to the New Zealand consulate.
A 17-year-old boy is forced to jump off the fence he has sat on his entire life in order to stand up for himself, his family, and his future.
The coming-of-age drama is set in 1981.
The movie is set against the backdrop of the anti-racism protests that were taking place in South Africa during apartheid, as well as the Springboks' tour to New Zealand that took place during the same period.
* eNCA’s Theodor Mashele reports.
