JOHANNESBURG - Someone out there is sitting on a ticket worth R110 million and they might not even know it yet.
The National Lottery, Ithuba has called on the lucky winner of the April 8 Powerball jackpot to step forward and claim their fortune.
According to the Michelle van Trotsenburg of Ithuba, the lucky participant bought their ticket on the FNB banking app with a R30 wager, using the Quick Pick selection method.
Van Trotsenburg expressed concern that winners who use banking apps often miss important calls alerting them to their win.
“We all know when you receive a call from the bank or any institutions people think they are being sold certain things. They do not believe that the call may be attached to the lottery."
“That is why we always encourage people that if you have bought a national lottery ticket and you get a call from the bank the very next day please take the call “ she said.
The participants have 365 days to claim the ticket, if unclaimed the money goes to a good course.
